Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un agent réducteur carboné par réduction à partir d'oxyde de carbone. On utilise l'oxyde de carbone contenu dans les gaz rejetés par un haut fourneau 1 pour former un agent réducteur carboné de grande pureté, qui ne contient pratiquement pas de cendres. L'agent réducteur ainsi préparé à partir d'une portion de gaz jetés inutilisés permet de remplacer le coke, avec d'importants bénéfices économiques.
