Abstract

L'invention concerne le dépôt de particules servant de précurseur de verre. Ce dépôt est rendu plus efficace par l'élévation des forces thermiques qui jouent un rôle important pour diriger la matière particulaire vers le support convenable. Conformément à l'invention, la formation de la matière particulaire et son dépôt ultérieur sur le support approprié s'effectuent à l'aide d'un moyen thermophorétique supplémentaire créant un gradient de température dirigeant des quantités supplémentaires de particules vers le support. Ce processus sert à la fabrication de fibres optiques.
