Abstract

Lors de la réalisation d'une fibre de verre présentant un profil d'indice de réfraction gradué suivant la méthode à double creuset, pour laquelle on part d'un couple d'une composition d'un verre pour le noyau et d'une composition de verre pour la gaine présentant des cations différents, on obtient généralement un profil, qui s'écarte fortement de la variation parabolique requise L'invention permet d'approcher de tout prés une telle variation parabolique. Ce résultat s'obtient par addition d'une teneur en cation de gaine à la composition du noyau télécommunicaApplication : fibres optiques destinées aux télécommunications.
