Abstract

L'invention concerne la préparation d'oxyde de titane hydraté par précipitation. Le procédé consiste essentiellement à ajouter à une solution aqueuse de sel de titane en milieù acide fort, d'abord de l'acétate d'ammonium ou un agent complexant analogue de manière à maintenir le titane en solution, sous une forme stable à pH supérieur à 2, et de préférence au moins égal à 3 mais in érieur à 6, puis une base forte jusqu'à élever le pH de la solution jusqu'à une valeur, de préférence au moins egale à 6, suffisante pour provoquer l'hydrolyse et la formation d'un précipité d'oxyde de titane hydraté, qui est recueilli. Le produit obtenu est destiné en particulier à être utilisé comme échangeur d'ions.
