Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour aider les bateaux brise-glace à tourner en eaux recouvertes de glace. Dispositif caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend des moyens d'écrasement de glace à orientation générale verticale placés sur les parties de coque bâbord et tribord ; et des moyens de mise en place permettant d'amener sélectivement l'un des moyens d'écrasement de glace à orientation verticale bâbord et tribord, en contact avec la couche de glace pour écraser celle-ci. L'invention trouve son application principale dans le domaine de la navigation maritime.
