Abstract

Cette prothèse de type condylien à fixation par ciment comprend une pièce fémorale et une pièce tibiale. La première possede deux parties condyliennes 12 qui tournent dans deux renforcements 62 de la partie médiane 60 en plate-forme de la pièce tibiale, une partie 14 formant rotule et une partie intercondylienne 40 formant une cavité ouverte en bas et portant en haut un tenon 50 pour l'ancrage dans le fémur. La plate-forme 60 de la pièce tibiale remplace le plateau tibial; elle porte en bas un tenon de fixation 66 et en haut une protubérance 70 qui pénètre dans la cavité intercondylienne de la pièce fémorale et coopère à la façon d'une butée avec les parois de cette cavité pour empêcher les mouvements extrêmes et conférer de la stabilité à l'articulation.
