Abstract

The absorber is made of two flexible sheets(1, 2) of metallic foil painted to provide a good absorbing surface. Their edges are clamped together to form a sealed space (3) through which a heat transfer fluid circulates. An upper extruded profile(4) is screwed to a lower frame(9) and grips a clamping profile(5). The edges of the foils are held between the two profiles and form a tight seal without welding. The upper profile can also hold a transparent cover(7) while the case(9) holds thermal insulation(11).
