Abstract
The solar energy collector unit is polygonal in shape and consists of a support made of insulating material. A transparent surface (2) lets through the solar energy, and is joined to the edges (10) of the support (4) at the edges (8) to form a sealed casing. Inside the casing there is a black plate (6) with a gap between it and the surface. The support has connections through it ensuring thermal connection to both ends of the plate. One end of the plate has hooks for attachment to the roof frame. The plate (6) consists of two sheets (12, 14) joined at the edges leaving a gap (16) in between. The sheet facing the support has a connecting sleeve (22) and the sheet facing the surface has a similar connecting sleeve (24) joining it to the surface. One sleeve has a male end fitting into the female end of the second sleeve.
