Abstract

The collector has a rigid main frame (2) of insulating material. This is deepened at two longitudinal edges and has circular passages (3, 4) through these deepened edges. The passages form the flow and return headers for the heat carrier liquid. The top of the frame has a rectangular recess (6). A sheet of glass or metal is placed in this and sealed at the edges. A small gap (5) is left between the sheet and the insulating base and the liquid flows through this. Connecting passages (8) link the space with the header passages.
