Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a substantially improved efficiency of heat collection by a method wherein a heat collection pipe having heat collection plates or heat collection fins with heat medium passage is stored in a glass pipe having a flat cross-section and the glass pipe is evacuated and sealed.
CONSTITUTION: A heat collection structure 12 is stored in a transparent glass pipe 11 with a flat rectangular, elliptical section. The heat collection structure 12 is made such that semi-circular grooves 14 are longitudinally made with a proper space in the plate 13 made of metal having a high heat conductivity, two plates 13 are contacted with each other with each of the grooves 14 being oppositely faced, resulting in forming a flow passage 15 having a circular section. Both ends of the glass pipe having a heat collection structure 12 are sealed air-tightly at the sealings 18, 19 by the end caps 16, 17 made of glass, the liquid pipes 20, 20 communicating with the flow passage 15 are arranged at one of the cap 16, the inside of the pipe 11 is evacuated by a discharge pipe 21 to form the heat collector 10.
