Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the performance of and to reduce the cost of a solar heat collector in which a plurality of transparent columns are aligned in parallel in a box and a heat collecting pipe is provided in each column by providing a reflector under the columns and supporting the pipes by heat insulating plugs at the openings of the columns.
CONSTITUTION: The solar heat collector is formed by placing cylindrical glass pipes 9 in the respective recesses of a wavy surface heat insulator 1 laid on the bottom thereof and inserting the heat collecting pipes 3 branched from a header 2 into the respective glass pipes 9. The heat insulators 8 for supporting the pipes 3 are so mounted at both end faces 7 of the glass pipes 9 as to seal the air between the inside and the outside of the pipes 9. A reflector 10 made of high reflectivity metal such as aluminum is provided under the inner surface of each pipe 9. Further, a glass sealing plate 6 for sealing from the atmospheric air is mounted at the top of each pipe 9. Thus, the collector can be manufactured readily and inexpensively with high heat collecting efficiency.
