Abstract

L'invention a trait au domaine de l'industrie alimentaire Elle concerne un silicate de calcium hydraté synthétique en particules nettement plus grossières, avec des vitesses d'écoulement bien plus grandes et de plus faibles teneurs en calcium liposoluble que les silicates de calcium hydratés synthétiques de l'art antérieur. Les silicates de l'invention, qui sont obtenus par réaction hydrothermique d'oxyde de calcium et de silice, contiennent au minimum 8 % de particules traversant un tamis de 44 mu m d'ouverture de maille, et ils ont une perméabilité d'environ 0,35 à 0,70 unité Darcy et une teneur en calcium liposoluble n'excédant pas 60 parties par million. Application à la filtration d'huiles telles que les huiles de cuisine pour en réduire la teneur en acides gras libres.
