Abstract

Cette addition apporte des changements et perfectionnements au procédé de préparation de matières plastiques cellulaires ayant un comportement au feu amélioré décrit au brevet principal Selon cette addition, on utilise comme solution aqueuse d'un produit de précondensation du type aminoplaste une solution obtenue par réaction de formaldéhyde avec le constituant formant aminoplaste selon un rapport molaire de 1,80 à 4,5: 1, à température élevée et à des pH allant de 4 à 9,5, puis refroidissement, réglage du pH entre 7,0 et 8,0 et dissolution d'urée pour obtenir un rapport molaire entre le formaldéhyde et le constituant formant aminoplaste compris entre 1,0 et 2,1 : 1. Ce mode opératoire fournit une augmentation décisive de la résistance mécanique des produits obtenus.
