Abstract

The rear axle suspension for the car has the trailing arms pivotted on bearings set at angles to each other, and to the horizontal. The bearings (6) can be slid axially when the vehicle is moved by lateral forces so that the rolle centre is changed. The cornering of the vehicle is improved by the elastic displacement of the bearings, while any movement also alters the settings of the rear wheels for added comfort.
