Abstract

Prothèse pour le remplacement d'une valvule cardiaque. Elle est en un tissu constitué de fils multifilaments de matière synthétique qui sont supportés par une armature à trois lobes. L'armature Comprend des branches parallèles dont chacune est constituée par deux parties d'une tige. Le tissu est introduit entre lesdites parties de la tige des branches de façon à constituer des feuillets souples. Pendant sa production, le tissu est soumis à plusieurs opérations de rétrécissement par compression et de frisage qui sont destinées à lui donner une souplesse élastique anisotrope qui se rapproche des caractéristiques mécaniques d'un tissu naturel. Les fils comprennent des frisures qui sont situées dans des plans parallèles au tissu et ils s'épanouissent dans les interstices de l'armure tissée de façon à ménager des espaces favorisant la croissance des tissus naturels. Application au remplacement de valvules cardiaques.
