Abstract

1351733 Wigs R GINSBURG and S GINSBURG 19 April 1971 [20 March 1970] 13579/70 Heading A4V Strips of natural or artificial hair 13 are embedded in a band 14 of thermo-weldable material by high frequency welding between the electrodes 10, 12. The pressure exerted by the electrode 12 flattens the band 14. These bands are then attached to a wig support in a parallel relation, by high frequency welding to form a wig. During this welding the thermo-weldable material softens and coats the meshes or stitches of the support, which may be tulle, cotton, other woven material or an apertured plastics material.
