Abstract

Procédé pour préparer une forme pigmentaire de l'alpha-in- danthrone ayant des propriétés coloristiques et pratiques améliorées, par gonflement de la gamma-indanthrone dans l'acide sulfurique à une concentration de 73 à 80 % en poids à une température de 20 à 50 degrés C, coulée du mélange dans l'eau à une température ne dépassant pas 50 degrés C et isolement du pigment. Le gonflement est effectué en présence de 0,1 à 20 % en poids, par rapport à l'indanthrone, de sels d'hydroxylammonium, de sels d'hydrazinium, d'acide amidosulfonique, d'urée, de sels de l'urée, de formaldéhyde, de paraformaldéhyde ou de leurs mélanges. Le procedé selon l'invention donne un pigment qui, à concentration égale, produit des colorations plus puissantes que le pigment de technique antérieure, et qui est facilement dispersable, ce pigment est employé pour colorer les peintures et des plastiques.
