Abstract

Mécanisme de direction assistée. Un boîtier cylindrique comporte un alésage interne dans lequel un manchon est monté coulissant pour séparer l'alésage en deux chambres de travail. Une crémaillère dont le déplacement est contrôlé par un pignon sépare l'intérieur du manchon en deux chambres de réaction. Une valve solidaire de la crémaillère se déplace dans le manchon pour distribuer le fluide entre les chambres de travail et de réaction En réponse à un déplacement de la crémaillère, dans une direction donnée, la valve distribue du fluide sous pression dans l'une des chambres de travail pour provoquer un déplacement du manchon dans la même direction pour fournir une assistance au braquage. Simultanément, la valve transmet une haute pression à l'une des chambres de réaction pour résister au déplacement de la crémaillère.
