Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour transporter des matières particulaires. Un transporteur à vis sans fin introduit la matière dans une chambre intermédiaire où elle est précomprimée. Un piston à va-et-vient l'entraîne alors dans un conduit rectiligne et l'y comprime davantage. La compression importante n'est donc assurée que par le piston, et le fût du transporteur n'est pas soumis à des forces exagérées. L'invention s'applique en particulier au transport de matières fibreuses comme la paille ou la bagasse.
