Abstract

Cet illuminateur utilisé en combinaison avec une antenne devant capter entre autres des signaux de satellite, est muni d'une fenetre d'illumination dont la section transversale est rectangulaire et qui appartient à un guide d'ondes à section transversale rectangulaire. Suivant le plan de symétrie longitudinal parallèle au champ électrique du mode TE01 dans le guide d'ondes. Celui-ci est divisé en deux moitiés. Par rapport au boîtier de l'illuminateur, le guide d'ondes peut tourner autour de son axe longitudinal. L'illuminateur comporte également un convertisseur de polarisation qui, devant ladite fenêtre, peut éventuellement tourner autour du prolongement dudit axe et qui est formé par plusieurs couches de matériau dont chacune est munie d'une configuration conductrice qui, dans une direction déterminée, constitue une charge principalement inductive, et dans la direction perpendiculaire à la direction précédente, une charge principalement capacitive.
