Abstract

Procédé de flottation sur mousse du genre de ceux dans lesquels un mercaptan est utilisé comme collecteur. Dans ce procédé, avant l'addition du collecteur à la pulpe minérale, le mercaptan est prémélangé avec un agent émulsifiant ou mouillant à l'effet d'augmenter la dispersion du mercaptan dans la pulpe. Le collecteur est donc un mélange de mercaptan et d'un agent émulsifiant ou mouillant. L'invention peut être utilisée pour séparer des minéraux de valeur, en particulier des minerais de cuivre.
