Abstract

The finned tube is for rifle fired grenades. The tube (10) has finning at its rear end (12) and at the front there is an annular flange (14). Both have a dia. slightly less than the inside of the grenade sleeve into which the tube goes. During firing sealing is given by a ring type seal (16) mounted in an annular recess (18) at the rear of the flange. The tube is connected to the rear of the grenade by a threaded bolt and carrying head (22) which can be inert or can introduce a delay in firing. The rear of the grenade can be of similar dia. to the sleeve or less than it.
