Abstract

Ce compas de dessin comprend deux branches 1, 5 et un balustre 16 dont les branches en fourchette reçoivent les bras pivotant autour de l'axe 3. Le balustre supérieur 16 comporte des moyens d'arrêt 24, 26 susceptibles de coopérer avec les extrémités internes de la branches 1 et du bras 5 ou des deux branches, de manière à s'opposer au mouvement angulaire d'ouverture de la branche par rapport au bras ou de l'une des branches par rapport à l'autre branche au-delà d'une limite angulaire predéterminée, et ces moyens d'arrêt 26 sur le balustre supérieur 16 sont disposés de sorte que si l'instrument est ouvert jusqu'à la limite angulaire prédéterminée, ces moyens d'arrêt 26 absorbent au moins en partie le choc ou les efforts résultant de cette ouverture limite angulaire. Cette structure permet une fabrication à bon marché en grande série tout en éliminant les risques de rupture.
