Abstract

Procédé de production de polyanhydrides à faibles poids moléculaires et nouveaux produits ainsi obtenus. Dans un procédé pour la production d'un polyanhydride à faible poids moléculaire par la réaction de polymérisation en masse d'un monomère maléique et d'au moins un styréne à substitution alkylique, à une température dans l'intervalle d'environ 140 à 200 degrés C , on utilise un bifluorure de métal alcalin, de préférence le bifluorure de potassium, comme catalyseur pour la réaction. La présente invention est particulièrement utile, pour la production de polyanhydrides à faible poids moléculaire, ayant un point de ramolissement entre environ 111 et 156 degrés C, ces produits étant fournis par une conversion du monomère maléique et du styrène à substitution alkylique de manière plus efficace que dans la technique antérieure.
