Abstract

a. L'invention concerne un procédé pour extraire le brome de solutions de sels en contenant, au moyen de vapeur et de chlore, puis en condensant le mélange obtenu et en distillant le brome. b. On introduit dans la solution par soufflage le chlore gazeux et la vapeur d'eau dans une tour à brome munie d'un bouilleur construit en titane et muni de lances perforées. c. Ce procédé permet d'arriver à des rendements en brome de 99,5 % de la théorie, au lieu de 90 à 95 % qui était le rendement admis jusqu'ici, ce qui a un heureux effet sur la pollution.
