Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de carbonate de sodium anhydre. Ce procédé comprend la préparation d'une suspension de bicarbonate de sodium dans une solution aqueuse de carbonate de sodium et la décomposition du bicarbonate de sodium dans ladite suspension par mise en contact à contre-courant de ladite suspension en l'amenant par une conduite 14 au sommet d'une tour de décomposition 10 et en amenant de la vapeur pressurisée par une conduite 16 au fond de ladite tour de décomposition 10 à des températures supérieures à 150 degrés C, par lequel on obtient du carbonate de sodium anhydre sous la forme d'une suspension dans sa solution aqueuse saturée, par la conduite 20. Ce procédé permet de préparer des cendres de soude dense ayant une pureté élevée et une taille de particule uniforme.
