Abstract

Procédé de traitement de gaz usés contenant S, H2 S, SO2 , etc., provenant d'installations de production du soufre, par exemple par le procédé Claus. On réunit les gaz usés de l'installation de production de soufre aux gaz contenant de l'ammoniac à chauffer, on les introduit avec eux dans la zone de décomposition 5b de l'ammoniac et, de l'ensemble constitué par l'installation de production de soufre et l'installation de décomposition de l'ammoniac, on retire, en un seul endroit, à savoir du laveur à hydrogène sulfuré 9 branché en aval de la zone de décomposition de l'ammoniac, contenant de l'hydrogène et convenant pour le chauffage des fours à coke. Ce procédé est destiné à réduire la pollution de l'environnement, tout en abaissant le prix de revient du traitement.
