Abstract

L'invention a trait à un procédé pour la préparation d'un composé polyénique, c'est-à-dire de l'acétate de vitamine A. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'on fait réagir un sel obtenu par réaction de vinyl- beta -ionol et de triphénylphosphine avec de l'acide sulfurique, un bisulfate, de l'acide phosphorique ou de l'acide chlorhydrique, en solution aqueuse, avec l'aldéhyde gamma -acétoxytiglique. Le procédé de l'invention, dont la caractéristique essentielle est la mise en oeuvre de la réaction en solution aqueuse, présente divers avantages vis-à-vis des procédés connus.
