Abstract

Procédé de connexion de deux groupes de fibres optiques gainées ou munies d'une couche de protection et connecteur pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé. On dispose les fibres optiques non dénudées de chaque groupe de fibres à connecter dans une pièce support correspondante, en plaçant d'abord les fibres dans une première position dans laquelle on dénude les parties d'extrémité des fibres à l'extérieur de chaque pièce support, puis en plaçant les fibres partiellement dénudées dans une seconde position dans laquelle on polit le plan d'extrémité de chaque ensemble support-fibre et, finalement, on réunit les deux ensembles support-fibres ainsi préparés. Ce procuré permet de réaliser une connexion de très bonne qualité optique dans des conditions de montage de fibres optiques courantes, par exemple sur un chantier.
