Abstract

A speed regulator for a road vehicle is as in 7600536 but the engine lubricating oil circuit is replaced by a small and independent hydaulic circuit. The mechanical governor connected to the speedometer drive (2) is replaced by a small hydraulic pump (1). A metal bellows (3) or similar deformable chamber is interposed between the accelerator pedal (5) and the carburettor lever (6) or the injection pump or air intake. The choke is replaced by a strangler valve (4), controlled from the dashboard by a hand control (8). There is a small expansion chamber (7) to take care of volume differences due to deformation of the bellows (3).
