Abstract

The throttle valve flap shaft arm is mechanically coupled to a sprung depression dependant diaphragm. The diaphragm chamber is connected by an air pipe to a depression modulator housing. A second air pipe leads from a depression source located downstream to the main throttle valve flap to the modulator housing. The depression is regulated by a spindle shaped valve coupled to the accelerator pedal arm. The spindle valve is able to regulate the depression flow from the depression source to the diaphragm chamber according to its axial displacement in the modulator chamber. Atmospheric air enters the modulator via a filter.
