Abstract

The device consists of a metal bolt, bores with an axial blind hole at the end opposite the head. The base of the hole forms one electrode; while the other consists of a metal pin, fastened inside the boring by an insulating ring which is soldered to the metal. The bolt is pref. screw-threaded nearer the head only, and not in the region surrounding the axial boring. The pin may be solid or hollow, and the space between it and the bolt may be scaled over. The ring fixing the pin to the bolt may be of epoxy resin, or of a ceramic (fixed by brazing) or of glass; in this last case, the pin and bolt is ov.
