Abstract

The junction applies to square sectioned tube (4) and enables similar tubes to be joined together at right angles. The joint consists of a cubic corner piece (1) which is connected on one face by a rectangular bar (2). The bar has a tapered end to facilitate assembly. Wedge (3) is made up of an angled piece which fits over two sides of the rectangle (2). The wedge has two end surfaces so that it cannot move longitudinally. The wedge has serrated surfaces (3c) to ensure good contact between the tube and the bar. The bar is also held in position by the press ring (2) which exists on the bar and tube 23.
