In connecting together lengths A, B of trunking, an annular support member 13 is applied to one of the ends to be joined, the trunking at that end being folded back upon itself so as to be in contact with both faces of the member, the end of the adjacent section of trunking being drawn over the member and secured thereto by a clamping ring 14. There may be co-operating indentations or upstanding pegs on the outer face of the member 13 and/or the inner face of the ring 14.
