Abstract

The catch or lock is used on a door (2) forming part of a piece of furniture. It is operated by a handle or key moving a slider to push a pivoted spring loaded latch (6, 7, 10) behind the rear face of the door opening (11). The latch is fixed to the door at 90 deg. to its rear face and its action pulls the door into the fully closed position. The slider is in the form of a bar (1) and carries (3) the pusher (4). This has a recess (5) equal to the thickness of the latch, the extended section pivoting this downwards into position.
