Abstract
The parent patent describes a method for ensuring the superheating of the steam in a nuclear power station between the high and low pressure ends of a turbine, using as heating fluid pressurised water at the temp. of vaporisation picked up directly from the recirculation feed water line, or from the recirculation fo the steam generators or of the reactor. In the addition the water which has been used for the superheating of the steam is picked up and pumped through a heat exchange in which a tert. fluid in an independent circuit is raied to b.pt. From the outlet of the heat exchanger, the water is returned, possibly through reheaters to the reactor or to the steam generators. There is a much more efficient exploitation of the energy available in the water drawn off. In a mixed nuclear power station producing around 1,000 electrical MW, this production can be divided into 875 MW of electrical and 440 MW of thermal origin.
