Abstract
PURPOSE: A method of geothermal generation of electricity, devised to convert the geothermal energy of hot water taken from a producing well in a high pressure and a high temperature state into electric energy efficiently by Rankin cycle generation of electricity.
CONSTITUTION: Gas is sent to a proper position of a hot-water producing well 3 by pressure from a compressor 13 driven by a motor 14 through a pressure pipe 15 for generating bubbles 16, and the geothermal water of a high temperature and pressure in a geothermal storing layer 1 under an impermeability layer 2 is pumped up compulsorily. After this hot water is sent to a steam separator 6 through a take- out pipe 5 and separated into gas and hot water, the gas is conducted into an expander 12 through a gas pipe 15, and on the other hand, the hot water is conducted into a heat exchanger 17 through a supply pipe 7 provided with a valve 26 to be used for a thermal source of a Rankin cycle by organic medium composed of a steam turbine 19, a generator 20, a condenser 21, and a feed pump 22 and provided with a cooling tower 24 and a cooling water circulating pump 25.
