Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust the power output by operating not only a heat exchanger, which is operative to heat water with the use of bleed of a vapor turbine, but also a hot water prime mover, if desired, after the hot water generated by the heat exchanger is stored in its tank.
CONSTITUTION: Hot water under pressure is supplied, when necessary, from a hot water tank 2 to a hot water prime mover 3. This prime mover 3 is composed of a hot water turbine 4, a vapor turbine 5 and a generator 6 and is operative to generate an electric power by using the pressurized hot water as a working fluid. Water at a lower temperature is fed from the prime mover 3 to a water storage tank 11 at the downstream step, and the tank 11 and the tank 2 are connected through pumps 12 and 18 and a return tube extending through a heater 13. At a heat power plant 22, the bleed of the turbine is used to heat a group of heaters 29 and is fed to a group of heaters 13 of a regenerative power system 1. Thus, the practicality can be satisfied in economy and performance as power generating facilities for a peak load.
