Abstract

The plastic container seal incorporates a neck with an external screw thread, a sealing joint, and a moulded recessed cap nut with an internal thread. The edge of the neck forms a horizontal annular surface extending inwards, and the base of the cap nut has a coaxial recessed portion extending towards the outside of the seal. The thickness of this portion can be greater than the rest of the base of the cap nut. The design simplifies the container closing operations and tightening of the cap nut, also giving a complete seal under varying conditions of transport and storage.
