Abstract

Inflatable packing support is made from a non-stretch rubberised fabric and comprises two tubes (2, 3) moulded side by side and having a common middle wall (4). A stiffening bar (6) of suitable material is embedded in this middle wall and the tube assembly is supported by a rubber hose (12) having side wall extensions (8, 9) attached to the outer walls (16) of both tubes. The hose supplies air to the tubes through elbow connectors, being fed from an outside supply. The complete assembly forms one length and is suspended, by means of a hose, from a suspension rail midway between the articles to be protected.
