Abstract

The frame has a separate compartment for receiving each sheet, each compartment being fitted wiht flexible clamps mounted on the frame and operated pneumatically so that the sheets, esp. of glass, are securely fixed in their respective compartment. The air clamps can be operated simultaneously andopened individually by a compressed-air network and the clamps pref. consist of flexible tube which are inflated and pressed against a flexible guide fixed to the struts used to make the compartments. The glass sheets are pref stored in the vertical position, the base of each compartment being fitted with rollers for supporting and guiding the glass. Used for storing and moving large sheets of glass including wind-screens or curved shapes.
