In a container ship means for supporting and guiding containers comprises vertical support members 2 and guide members 1 movable as a unit 10 which can be placed in attachments corresponding to desired container sizes. In the embodiment described the attachments 4 and 5 for the movable unit 10 are mounted on the bottom and at the sides of the hold respectively.
