Abstract

The present utility model refers to a safety package for works of art and for highly valuable objects, designed so as to reduce the risk of accidents during their transport (fire, flooding, tearing, etc.). The device of the invention is formed by a box manufactured of composite material, which is highly fire-resistant and capable of absorbing small impacts without suffering structural alterations. The inside of the box is protected by a polyurethane lining, the purpose of which is to take up the vibrations and the shocks. In this cavity, there is also an entire series of inflatable mattresses, which fit perfectly to the contour of the article to be protected, allowing it to move slightly, thus assuring its integrity during strong impacts. The mattresses, as can be seen from the illustrations, can adopt any desired shapes, depending on the characteristics of the work of art. In addition, there is a device inside the box which emits signals allowing monitoring of the location of the object transported. On the outside, all the elements necessary for guaranteeing fastening of the box are arranged: the four vertical walls carry slots for fitting telescopic arms, the purpose of which is to fasten the assembly to the walls of the lorry or any other element. In the lower part, it is equipped with wheels, in order to facilitate its transport, as well as suckers with springs which stick to the ground. These two devices can fold, thus facilitating the stacking of the boxes. The key-operated safety locks are flush-fitted into the wall of the box, in order to prevent them being struck. This utility model refers to safety packaging, designed for the transport of precious objects, in particular works of art, which reduces the risk of damage during the transport and storage of these objects.

These highly valuable items are currently transported using generally wooden packaging, with internal protection - based on wood chips, or another damping element -, the packaging being closed at using screws or nails.

Due to the favorable nature of the packaging, the transport of works of art involves significant risks, given the poor protection of these packaging in the event of fire, flood, and in the event of crushing following shocks and possible blows. , for example, in an accident involving the transport vehicle.

The purpose of this utility model is to develop security packaging allowing the transport of works of art and / or precious objects with total security guarantees.

The packaging object of this invention consists of a box or trunk which can take different forms (cylinder, prism), one or both bases of the box can be closed by means of a cover.

The walls of the box and the cover are formed by a very resistant external carcass, a soft interior lining (in polyuretan for example), and one or more inflatable chambers, which establish the limits of a vacuum adaptable to contours of the room or objects to be protected.

The external carcass is of reduced thickness, and is preferably made of composite materials, or plastics of great hardness and high fire resistance. This carcass has, externally, slots or slides in order to be able to gather together, two or more boxes - thereby increasing their capacity - for the transport of large parts. In addition, the outer casing has holes which pass through the internal coating, thus allowing access to valves used for inflating the air chambers.

The slides formed in the external carcass preferably consist of colors with a partially closed section. The grooves pass through the walls and edges of the covers in a direction perpendicular to the bases of the carcass.

Throughout these grooves, rigid profiles are introduced, the cross section of which coincides with that of the grooves. The profiles ensure the positioning of the closing covers, preventing any movement with respect to the carcass. These profiles also allow the assembly of two or more boxes, thus forming a package of greater volume.

The packaging is fitted with security locks, as well as temperature and indoor humidity indicators. It may also include a device that emits signals for constant monitoring of the location of the packaging.

The packaging is fitted with wheels to facilitate its movement. These wheels are retractable and can hide in cavities formed in the base of the package.

Finally, the packaging can also be fitted with suction cups on the lower surface, located near the corners, with a securing system using springs which allow the body or casing to be fixed to the ground once. shock absorbers and sudden movements.

The constitution and characteristics of the packaging of this invention will be better understood with the aid of the following description, made with reference to the attached illustrations, in which we present a non-limiting example.

The body [1] and the cover [2] are formed of an external carcass [3], -which -the thickness is rather small-, of an internal protective coating [1], and of one or more chambers interior inflatables [5] which establish the limits of a modular vacuum according to the dimensions and contours of the room or rooms to be protected.

The external carcass [3] will preferably be made of composite or plastic material, of great hardness, and high fire resistance. This carcass has, on the outside, slides [7] which extend between the bases and which are configured in grooves with a partially closed section towards the outlet. The slides [7] are formed in the external surface of the walls of the body [1] and in the edges of the cover [2], having a coincident (facing) location. The inflatable chambers [5,6] have flexible walls, with inflation valves which will be introduced in an adjusted way through the holes which cross the interior lining [4], and which open outwards through holes [9 ] formed in the outer carcass. [3].

The inflatable chambers [5] are preferably placed in independent stages or levels, and delimit a vacuum or internal space adaptable to the outline of the room / s to be protected, so as to ensure the positioning of this room.

The inflatable chambers [5] will preferably be removable and interchangeable, so that the chambers best suited to the geometry of the parts to be transported are available at all times.

In the example shown in Figure 1, the chambers [4] form at each level, two independent chambers which cover the internal surface of two of the opposing walls. In the example in Figure 2, there is a single inflatable chamber on each floor, [5a], which defines a central space or passage [10]. This configuration is specially indicated for the transport of statues and / or similar objects. In the case of FIG. 3, each stage is formed of a single chamber [5a], as in the example of FIG. 2, but the chambers have several coincident passages [11], which delimit the tubular conduits serving for the 'location, for example, rolls formed from squares, boards, carpets, ... etc.

The body [1] of the package can be fitted with wheels [12] in its lower surface, in order to facilitate movement. These wheels are removable, being able to hide in cavities formed for this purpose, in the lower base of the body [1].

The body [1] of the packaging can also be equipped, as can be appreciated in FIG. 1, with suction cups [13] fixed to its lower base, by means of shock-absorbing springs [14].

The cover [2] and the body [1] are fitted with security locks [15].

At the walls of the body [1], cavities [16] can be formed in order to mount telescopic arms [17] retractable and removable therefrom.

The cover [2] can be completely independent of the body [1], well attached to the body by a joint. In the same way, well one, well the two bases of the body [1], can be opened, closing, with the corresponding covers.

The cover [2] can be equipped with indicators allowing the control of the interior temperature and humidity [see 18 in figures 2 and 3].

As shown in Figure 1, the body [1] of the package can be equipped with an interior device [19] transmitting signals. This will allow the localization of the packaging at any time.

For the transport of objects larger than that of the packaging, two or more bodies [1] can be assembled, connected by means of the profiles [8].

The packaging described here guarantees very high security, the mechanical resistance being ensured by the external carcass [3] and by the profiles [1].

In addition, the external carcass [3] will be fire-resistant in nature. The protection and positioning of the wrapped objects are ensured by the internal coating [4] and by the inflatable chambers [5]. In addition, the suction cups [13] allow a good fixing of the packaging to the ground, with a damping system defined by the springs [14]. The fixing of the packaging can be completed using telescopic arms [17], which can be supported or fixed to the walls of the transport vehicle.

Finally, we can understand that the body or carcass can adopt different configurations to that described above, with other polygonal shapes, cylindrical shapes, etc.
