Abstract

The apparatus has a surround (43) with a flanged rim fitting into the aperture (10) and resting on the front surface (11) of the panel (1). The surround has, on either side, a flat bottom recess (44) for a metal clip (5). This clip has a U shaped section with its sides turned in to form flanges. Two parallel slots leave the centre portion (56) free as a tongue. The sides of the clip fit in grooves in the surround, a screw (6) passing through underneath to engage a fixed nut (61). As this screw is tightened, the tongue rides up an incline (72) and is forced outwards to grip the rear surface (12) of the panel (1).
