Abstract

The connector has a U-shaped piece (1) with an elastic conical washer (5) seated across the inside of its spine (2). A moving piece (6) is located between the arms of the U and sandwiches the conductors between it and the washer. The moving piece is acted on by the end of a screw (7). The screw passes through a block (4) that is held in slots at the ends of the U's arms. The moving piece also consists of a block and has lateral projections (60) that fit into slots (32) in the arms of the U: these slots act as guides.
