Abstract

The screw clamp, for fixing an insulated conductor to a flat low-voltage distribution rail, consists of a U-shaped bracket with internally hooked arm ends and a screw in a threaded hole in the U's crosspiece. The conductor sits between two curved pieces inside the U. The bottom curved piece has top hooks to engage the U's hooks and bottom hooks to engage over the bottom surface of the flat rail (after passing through a hole). The top curved piece has biting edges that contact the conductor. Tightening the screw clamps the conductor between the curved pieces and the U bracket to the rail.
