Abstract
The austenitic stainless steel, which has improved oxidation resistance and good hot working properties, has the compsn. (max) 0.15% C, 0.15% N, 3% Mn, 0.04% P, 0.04% S, 2% Si, 24-50% Ni, 21-30% Cr (up to) 3.5% Mo, 5% W, 5% Co, 0.01% B, pref. 0.0005-0.01% B, (max) 0.1% Ca, 0.1% Mg, total content of Zr, Ti and Nb 0.6%, balance Fe, and contains in addn. 0.01-0.5% La, pref. 0.01-0.3%, more pref.
