Abstract

The two rotors are driven by two belt pulleys which cross over each other and each run over a vertical axle. At the bottom end of the vertical axles are radially-positioned blades. Coaxially, a cylinder is positioned on the axles, and rotates with the blades, and brings the plants between the cylinders. Beneath the blades is a stationary disc beyond the front edge of which project the blades. The disc has a hole tapering in the direction of rotation, at the end of which is a slanting edge which cuts off the plants with the blades. Behind the rotors are inlet openings for the discharge channel taking the cut-up crop to a trailer. The channel contains a fan. The frame consists of two sections hinged by a horizontal axle.
