Abstract

The mower comprises two coaxial plates placed horizontally on top of one another. The top plate (2) has teeth (3) round its circumference, and the bottom plate (4) has four symmetrical blades (6) hinged to its periphery. A motor (7) drives the two plates in contrary directions to one another. The motor shaft has a toothed wheel (8) acting with a toothed wheel (9) on the top plate (2). The motor shaft (7) has a pulley (10) which drives a pulley (13) on the bottom plate (4) by means of a belt (12). The motor (7) is positioned to the right-hand side to allow for the grass mown to pass on the left-hand side. The blades (6) are pivot mounted on the lower plate (4). Underneath the mower is a housing forming a runner (15).
