Abstract

The chassis (1) comprises a top cover open underneath and extending forwards and sideways. The front of the chassis (1) glides along the ground, and the back is supported by two rubberised wheels (4) on a common shaft (18). The front of the chassis (1) has a cutter rotor (7) consisting of a conical plate (8) with drive shaft (9) and blades hinged around the plate's outer circumference. The back of the chassis has a motor group (12) in front of which is a grass-shield. The motor group (12) rotates the rotor clockwise by means of a drive shaft (14) and a double pulley (15) and belt (17) system. A second belt (25) kept taut by an idler roller connects the pulley (15) to the wheel shaft (18).
